Pure Vegetable Oil (PVO) is an oil made from plant oilseeds such as rapeseed, that has not been processed in any way apart from being pressed and filtered.

Use

The oils obtained can be used in diverse ways:

  • In the food sector
  • As a fuel for heat and electricity production in a boiler, generator, or in a cogeneration It is necessary to make some adaptations to the installations so that they can use the vegetable oil, especially to the burner
  • As vehicle fuel, either used pure in an adapted engine, or used to produce biodiesel. The ratio of biodiesel that can be used without modification of the engine depends on the type of engine
  • As biolubricant after the addition of additives, for example as chain oil for chainsaws
